It is not free will to give someone a choice and then threaten them with eternal torment for choosing in a way that God did not approve. And if God could not be around sin, then how was he not around sin merely by the fact that he chose to keep man ignorant of the knowledge of Good and Evil? And, if man did not the difference between Good and Evil then how would he know he was doing evil by not listening to God? Therefore, because of this characteristic he CANNOT simply forgive such SIN. It is because the devil would be able to accuse MAN for committing the same crimes and therefore GOD must be JUST as well. So God made a way to Keep a group of PEOPLE for himself to spend eternity with by accepting the willful sacrifice of his son. This fulfills Gods requirement of sinlessness to be in his presence while maintaining his perfect holiness and justice. But Man (by his free will) must accept this sacrifice by faith or choose to reject it. It was the only way for God to maintain his holiness while at the same time giving man the free will to accept God. This creates a perfect "relationship" opportunity. This is why the devil attempts to blind Mans eyes to the truth and causes us to question Gods ways and ultimately reject him. But God is not obligated to man to appease his faultfinding. He has given us enough (evidence) to cause ALL to believe. But some still will not. That is their and your CHOICE!!! But it is by FAITH...you are saved!!
